Is the question that I always get asked by my mom when I travel.

Do you have ____? Did you pack ____? Don't forget ____? Are you sure you ____? Where's your ____? Why don't you have ____?

I can say I am thankful that she asks me all these questions because there has yet been a time where I did not pack something I needed.

What type of packer am I? I am usually a last minute packer.

Why? I work better under pressure 🤷

What do I pack first?

  • clothes (pack 2 more outfits than the days/nights I'm staying for)

  • shoes (comfy sneakers and Old Navy's 2/$5 sandals)

  • technology (laptop, phone, headphones [so crucial especially for flights], camera)

  • everyday necessities/toiletries

  • last minutes items

What If I'm staying at a hotel, shouldn't they have everything? yes and no. I'm more comfortable using my own toiletries so I prefer to bring my own. I do enjoy using the hotel's robe and towels, saves me SO much room from packing.

How do I prevent myself from forgetting something? The day of my trip is when I do my final run through and I use notes to create a checklist to ensure I have all the small items I need.

For instance: tooth brush, tooth paste, hair comb, a pair of sandal, sunglasses, chapstick, gum and socks.

**Additional Necessities: portable charger & wipes!

Why these two? I am constantly taking photos, having a portable charger will ensure I will not cringe if my phone drops to 10%. s

As for wipes, while I was traveling in Asia, I noticed many restaurants and food vendors did not have napkins available. I recommend baby wipes, if it works for babies, it works for anyone. Am I right or Am I right? 👌

I hope my tips and personal experience enhances your next travel adventures 🛫
